It was Gibran who said, In only one drop of water are found all the secrets of the ocean.  What a privilege it is for the drop deemed worthy of such an honor. How proud it must feel to be entrusted with such glorious distinction..
But it must also be exhausting for a single drop to harbor confidences of such vast proportion.
Does it yearn to relinquish its burden and flow freely amongst it's kind unencumbered? I wonder... Or perhaps the noble task of safeguarding the ocean's treasures has become a vital part of it's very existence...

I don't know, but I find myself fascinated.

Halo.

It wasn't until I gave up searching that I discovered a separate peace.
----

A colleague and I were talking tonight at work. Mid-sentence, she abruptly cut herself short, and looked at me. I hardly never talk about this with anyone and here I am telling you my life story... She came closer and sat down. You know.. there's a glow about you.. almost like an angelic glow.. or zen-like dunno what to call it.. it's like you have this calmness. a calm energy..

My first impulse was to snort. Me? Angelic? Hah... good one. Allah forgive us our sins, I'm no angel. But I controlled my impulse and just smiled. Man, I wish... the only Halo I have is Beyonce's song on my iPod..
