It was Gibran who said, In only one drop of water are found all the secrets of the ocean.  What a privilege it is for the drop deemed worthy of such an honor. How proud it must feel to be entrusted with such glorious distinction..
But it must also be exhausting for a single drop to harbor confidences of such vast proportion.
Does it yearn to relinquish its burden and flow freely amongst it's kind unencumbered? I wonder... Or perhaps the noble task of safeguarding the ocean's treasures has become a vital part of it's very existence...

I don't know, but I find myself fascinated.

What's in a Smile.

Yesterday at the hospital I ran into a colleague on an elevator. I've seen him several times on unit-based rounds, and we always say 'Hi' but we haven't ever actually spoken.
Well, on that 23 second elevator ride, we said hi again. Then he goes, You know, I don't even know your name but I want to tell you, you have one of the prettiest smiles.. lights up your face n just brightens up the room.
It's probably not the smile as much as the sentiments it conveys, but his sweet compliment made my day
Thank you random stranger :)
